I know that sometimes the things I put here or the videos I share paint a picture that I’m all work and production all of the time – that is not the case.

I believe that we all need an escape from time to time and movies or TV shows can be just that.

In the past I’ve shared this fact with an acquaintance or two who said “oh – I never told you about me watching those shows because I didn’t want you to judge me and think I was a lazy ass.”

BRO! I would NEVER think that! And then I realized that so many Life Coaches or Online motivators rarely say that — also – I bet if you looked behind the curtain, they watch some TV too they’re just not talking about it.

High achievers, people with zen as fuck lives, and the most successful person you know also knows the importance of downtime. The moments of vegging out are necessary to recharge.

The get-away for our minds is needed.
The rest for our bodies is needed.

Do I think it’s important to “choose wisely” on what you consume and how much because it will have an impact on your mood – I also think that it’s important not to take that choice too seriously.

The other thing that those people with sustainable lifestyles that they’ve created and are in love with aren’t so damn judgy of themselves —-and they could care less what you think. They’re also not usually the ones preaching online if we’re being honest.

If I could offer you a piece of advice it would be to stop worrying about other peoples judgement on what you do and start paying more attention to what YOU NEED to be your best self.

Maybe TV is a negative for you and it prevents you from feeling motivated or present…then cut it out for a while.

Maybe TV acts as a place of decompression from your day for you and helps settle your brain (this is what it is for me)…then allow yourself the space for it.

This whole thought of one extreme to the next isn’t necessary if you take the time to know you’re own limitations and your motivators.

That’s the kind of Coach that I am. That’s the way I help my clients create a sustainable path of living life the way they want to….without too much restriction so it actually IS in fact, sustainable.

Because after all, none of us are looking for a short term shift, are we?

I’m the kind of Coach that is in it for the long haul, and those are the kinds of clients I work with. People who know that it’s possible to mold their lives the way they want to – if they’re willing to trust the process and enjoy the ride along the way.
