TRAVEL

I haven’t felt the need to travel in a while, which if you know me…is unique.

In the past I would always get to a place where I “HAD TO GO” and I would workout some sort of adventure or trip to really be able to breathe again in the way that putting my feet in a new place does for me.

When I chose to move out of the county and into this house away from everything it was really important to me that I created a genuine and solid connection with the land here, with the people who live here before us, and before them, and the people who live here now that honor this land and the thing it stands for in ways that I admire.

So I’ve been observing. I’ve been sitting on rocks and trees and fields a LOT. Just sitting and listening. It’s amazing what you can pick up on when you start going under your surface level senses.

This is something my Coach and mentor Jessi Magick has helped me with. She taught it to me originally as a way to start to heal my endocrine system and self soothe when needed and it’s turned into something that is now a way that I connect back to myself through connecting to the present moment in ways I didn’t really realize were possible fully before.

Through conversations with her, practicing this deepening of my senses, learning more from Greg W. Anderson about communing with trees, and my own education process about the history here I have really started to build a place that I feel calmed by, held by, and a part of here on this land.

It’s unique and different and I knew it needed to be in order for me to feel at home here.

So lately, my wander-lust desires have been fulfilled by driving around these hills, walking through these trees and fields and sitting with the energy that is alive here…possibly being the first person to truly listen to it and offer to be of service in a very long time. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite relationships to nurture and I’m so grateful.

On this day (and every day) I welcome you to step outside into nature and look around, then look and notice deeper.

Breathe in, and then breathe a level deeper.

Listen and hear, then listen a little harder.

What is your skin feeling? Then take it a layer deeper.

I welcome you to be so present that you take every one of your senses layers past the surface level thing that you see, hear, smell, feel, or taste…open yourself up to experiencing the MORE that is happening around you and you’ll FEEL the sensations in your body calm.

This is power.
