(Side note, You know that Will Ferrell quote that says “Before you marry a person you should first make them use a computer with slow internet to see who they really are” … That’s me… I am that girl )
At first I was pissed at myself for letting frustration cloud my mind and ruin my afternoons productivity, but then I looked down and realized it was already 6pm. I reminded myself that I did enough that day. I put down the computer, put down the list, and walked out of my office closing the door behind me.
I spent the rest of the night relaxing and journaling to get the frustration out of my head.
I woke up this morning focused that today is a NEW DAY. It’s a blank slate. What happened yesterday doesn’t matter.
Moral of the story here?
YOU CONTROL WHAT YOU ALLOW IN YOUR HEAD.
And yes, everyone has their moments where they aren’t positive or upbeat. We’re human!
But the difference is, HOW LONG DO YOU LET IT STAY?
Do you let it linger on for the entire evening?
Do you let it spill into the next day and ruin another day’s productivity and mood?
OR do you give it the attention it needs and then let it go?
(Hint, hint… LET IT GO. That is the right answer 😉 )
Now go kick ass.
