“Stop existing and Start living”.

I just saw this and it stopped me dead in my tracks. Think about that for a minute…

Are you existing? Or Are you living?

EXISTING would probably go something like this: dreading waking up each morning, rushing through your morning to go to a job or into a task you’re not super crazy about, driving to that place and not even remembering the drive at all and not looking forward to all you HAVE to do today. Sometimes not wanting to get out of bed at all. Maybe not feeling super thrilled about the clothes you just threw on during that rushed morning so you don’t particularly feel super awesome. Avoiding conversations. Eating whatever is available at the time or forgetting to eat at all. Looking forward to ‘quitting time’. Not feeling excited about anything you’re doing all day. You’re just kind of “going through the motions”… or something along those lines.

LIVING on the other hand would look more like this: going to bed feeling fulfilled and then waking the next morning looking forward to your day. Having breakfast or taking your time to enjoy that cup of coffee with a book, or a loved one, or maybe just in silence by yourself. Getting yourself all ready and prepared for the day as you jump into work or your to-do list feeling eager and excited about what you GET to do today. Enjoying the drive to wherever you’re going, noticing the trees, feeling the wind, admiring the song on the radio or the way the sun is hitting the clouds today. Smiling and saying hello to everyone you encounter as if it’s a natural reaction. Choosing to eat foods that make you feel good. Completely losing track of time as you’re going throughout your day because you’re engaged in the moments and really being present… or something along those lines.

One includes intention, one doesn’t.

One may take some serious courage and one may feel more comfortable, kind of like hiding.

One makes time pass super slowly… one time isn’t an object.

One creates fulfillment, while the other creates heaviness.

One lifts your vibration, while the other keeps you down, dark, and unmotivated.

I’m not saying choosing to LIVE versus simply existing is easy, because it’s not… especially at first BUT it is worth it. And I think we all owe it to ourselves and the world around us to choose to LIVE instead of exist.

The world needs your light.
The people you encounter need your light.

YOU NEED YOUR LIGHT.

It’s all a choice.
One you get to make every day.

So let me ask you again, are you existing? Or are you living?
