Accomplishing what you want in life is a bit of a balancing act. You balance between focusing on the task at hand (the “seed”) or planting today right now in this exact moment and keeping your eye on the end result, keeping your eye on the harvest, on the goal, and what is it you’re looking to create.
You have to balance between focusing on the seed and focusing on the harvest. They both need to be a part of where your mind is every single day.
But if you lean or veer off a little bit too much towards one or the other it can stop your progression entirely. It will hold you back.
Example; If all you are doing is focusing on the harvest, on the big goal, on the end result then chances are you’re not actually taking action every single day because all you’re thinking about is “when” and “if”.
On the flip side, if all you’re doing is getting caught up in your routine all day long and not making sure that what you’re doing is building towards the harvest then you’re also going to hold yourself back.
So the key is to be aware, to be mindful, to be present, to make sure that every single day you’re focusing on both but there’s a space in your mind and intentional time in your day when you’re looking at both the seed and the harvest because you can’t have one without the other.
