“We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection with nature, we have actually lost our connection to ourselves.”
-Andy Goldsworthy

A couple of months ago I made a promise to myself to spend more time out in nature so I could feel more grounded and “reconnect” with nature. But recently every time I went on a hike or out to one of my favorite places, I noticed that I still wasn’t feeling connected…it just didn’t feel “right”.

And that’s because I was at a transition in my world and for a glimpse in time I had allowed myself to lose connection with me.

You see, that happens from time to time as we’re growing and expanding. Sometimes we drift a little and our connection feels less than it did before and it throws everything else off too.

I’ve been spending extra time getting back to my own basics these past couple of weeks and am feeling more connected and in alignment than ever.

Today was the first entire day I’ve taken off work in 6 weeks. I did it for me, for my soul, for my sanity and it was just what the doctor ordered.

I am happy to report that as I stood there in awe of the beauty that was surrounding me, I truly felt at one with it all. That sense of deep peace and self-awareness is something I wish for you all to have and when you do, connect to it as often as you can.

It’s simply magical.
