SUPPORT AND GRATITUDE

It’s not easy being the person that gets to hold someone’s hand when their world is exploding. To feel their pain but not be able to take it away. To know that even though this moment feels like it’s going to kill them and may never end, that they will in fact get to the other side of this and they’ll be able to take a breath again soon.

How do you explain that to someone when they’re in middle of it?

You don’t. You simply hold space for them. You do your best to support them without shielding them from what they need to experience in the situation.

And you lovingly hold that space and prepare for the work that’s going to be necessary on the “other side” of this.

It’s not something I EVER want to have to do for someone, but I know that sometimes it’s what’s necessary. So I jump into gear when they can’t. I stay calm when they aren’t. I listen when nobody else will.

When these things happen I am always shocked by my ability to navigate these things and at the same time and flooded with gratitude.

*Gratitude to have been through what I’ve had to endure and learn from in order to get so good at this.

*Gratitude for the education I sought out to truly, actually HEAL so I can help others.

*Gratitude for the people that do this for me when I’ve had my own world get bombed.

*Gratitude for the place in the world that this type of relationship can actually exist and gratitude for the way the universe works it’s magic to the right people in the right places when things hit the fan.

It’s bitter sweet.

The polarity is some of the most intense you’ll experience. And as we all have to learn, polarity is an inevitable part of life, one that the sooner we stop fighting and learn to appreciate the better equipped we are to handle what comes across our tables.
