Changes in the new year

CHANGES IN THE NEW YEAR

My new year reflection and reset time is stretched out over several weeks… on purpose.

During that I start to make note of things that I absolutely will not be doing in the next year. One of those is doing discounts or sales.

A few weeks ago I was with my coach and talking about things that are working in my business and things that aren’t and I had a deep ass realization…. My “sales” or offered discount pricing items never work.

They don’t sell.

They never have.

That’s never been a “tactic” that works for me. No matter how many times or ways I’ve tried it.

During my time in Date with Destiny something that I learned was to start noticing how silly some of the rules I was allowing to exist in my life really were and this was one of them. Sales is something that I’m told I “should” do to generate new customers or clients. That offering discounts to get people in the door to try my service is a great move to get a stir.

Dude- this isn’t my vibe.
Like not even fucking close.

I don’t know how else to say this so if it sounds snotty- then it is what it is but I can not be bothered with half ass people. I decided a long time ago that I wasn’t in the business of convincing anyone that I’m good at what I do or that I am what they need in their business or life. I just simply do not have it in me to “convince you”.

Like ick.
The icki-est thing ever for me.
Not- my- jam.

So you see how hilariously silly it was to be when I realized that doing sales and discounts is absolutely the opposite of that hard and fast rule I made for myself? Honestly it’s more like a part of my soul that I don’t get a choice on, haha. I’m not a “gray area” kind of person.

You’re either in and want to figure shit out or you aren’t.

And that’s how my clients are.
I don’t convince them of shit. I don’t chase them. They show up. They pay the price. They don’t question it. They want to get started, and now.

SO. something that doesn’t happen anymore for me? Discounts and sales pricing.

Early bird incentives or bundles are different- that’s me loving you. That’s me wanting to give you something special for taking action. It’s a way of me over-giving. It is in no way a scheme for me to make something more “affordable” because if that’s the mindset you have when it comes to finding and hiring a coach or purchasing a program, then you’re not my ideal client.

That mindset is off.
You don’t choose the more affordable plastic surgeon, you choose the best fit for you, with the best references.

You don’t bargain shop things like that and you shouldn’t bargain shop and use that as the reason you choose a specific coach either.

That’s a great way to dance in circles and not get to the root of your shit anyways– but that’s another conversation for another day.

I really just wanted to share this with you to show how sometimes it’s equally important to identify what’s not coming with you and absolutely will never happen again in your world as it is to create new and fun and exciting missions and goals.

If you don’t clear and shed off the shit like what I’ve shared with you, then you’ll continue making it more difficult for yourself to get what you’re wanting in the first place.

You see what this frees up for me now?

**No mixed signals with the universe.
“I want high quality clients who are serious about changing their lives and value my skills.”
Turning around and doing bargains sends a different vibe all together. Not in alignment with the previous statement.

**No more energy, resources, and time spent on links, emails, and timelines for what “deal” will happen when. More time to spend on what I actually want and what my ideal clients actually want too.

**No more of that “convince them you’re good enough” doubtful energy inside of my head that makes me question my shit anyways.

So. Fucking. Freeing.

And so funny to notice how “DUH” that whole realization is but hey, that’s how this all works guys. This is what we practice. This is why we never stop digging, expanding, and working on our own shit.

pinterest pin; are you convincing your audience that you're worth it?
