“You are such an amazing example of a fierce, gentle leader”.

I received that comment in a message the other day and I am so in love with that statement.

You see, a few years ago I made a massive commitment to myself that I would never be fake. That I would show up fully as myself every single day, in every single way no matter what. Even though it’s hard sometimes, I made the commitment and it’s one I take extremely seriously.

A lot of times I will meet someone “in real life” that I’ve connected with online and they will tell me how I’m the exact same in person as I am online and I just smile because that is my point! And it’s always great to get confirmation that I am in fact coming across as authentic because I’m truly just being me.

In a world of fake, shiny penny, highlight reel people who are lying to you every day about who they are and what they do, I take being the opposite VERY seriously.

What you see is what you get.
I walk my talk every day.
I do what I say I’m going to do.
I’m not perfect and I share that with you.
I struggle and I share that with you.
I have successes, I share them with you.
I have failures and I share them with you.

I choose do it in a constructive, non dramatic fashion in hopes to shine a light to help guide others on their own journeys too.

My point here is that it’s part of my mission. I feel it in my core, deep in my bones that I was put on this planet to show people that you can be whatever you want to be. No matter how much it doesn’t make sense or how much it doesn’t fit into a box. If it’s what you want, you can have it. If it’s what you love, you should love it.

I’m here to break stereotypes.
I’m here to expand horizons.
I’m here to show you you’re not alone.
I’m here to break glass ceilings.
I’m here to BE ME. Always. 100%. Unapologetically. And if that helps people, then that’s even better. But either way, I will stay committed to shining TRUE pure light in a sea of bullshit for those who need to see it.

Because I believe in my guts that the world needs more of that. And so should you.

Be the change my friends.
